Roberta Jones
Freelance
Public relations and communications consultant for charities and purpose driven organisations
About
A strategic internal and external communications leader with over 20 years’ experience, I bring an outside perspective shaped by working across charities, health and care organisations. As a freelancer, I work closely with Boards, C‑suite leaders, and teams, stepping in quickly, getting to know the culture, and becoming a personable, collaborative partner. I blend strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery across crisis communications, storytelling, media relations, event management, and building effective press office functions, while supporting teams through transition and maintaining business continuity. My portfolio includes NCT (the National Childbirth Trust), Surviving Economic Abuse, Coram, the English‑Speaking Union and Peer Power Youth, alongside leadership roles at the Children’s Trust, the British Association of Dermatologists, CW+, and the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability, plus NHS secondments at West Middlesex University Hospital.
