BUILD BETTER APPLICATIONS KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR CV
Your experience.
Clearly presented.
A practical UK CV builder. Write what you did, show the difference you made, and tailor a version for each role.
THE BUILDER / 01
Tell your story.
Start with the essentials. Add evidence wherever you can.
New here? A short guide to building a stronger CV
Start with your current experience, not the template. You can include employed work, self-employment and volunteering.
- Bring your existing work. Under More actions, choose “Bring CVs from original Studio” if you previously used Kelloch on this browser, or import a JSON backup.
- Add the evidence. Describe what you did, who benefited and what improved. Use numbers only when you can support them.
- Tailor and check. Make a separate CV for each application. Review the document at full size and export a JSON backup before closing your browser.
Basic: “Responsible for managing volunteers.”
Specific: “Coordinated weekly rotas for 24 volunteers, maintaining service coverage during staff shortages.”
Only use that level of detail if it accurately describes your own work.
Choose a guided CV structure
Start with an organised outline for your type of work. We do not invent employment, qualifications or achievements. Your existing versions are kept.
BEFORE YOU CREATE
Your proposed outline
This creates a new, blank CV version alongside your existing work. It includes the normal CV sections and targeted questions to help you describe real experience, without pre-filled claims.

Contact information employers can use.
A photo is usually unnecessary for UK job applications. You control whether it appears. A small local copy is stored in your CV backup; Kelloch does not receive the image.
Professional profile
Three to five clear sentences. Focus on the work you can evidence.
Be specific: the services you have led, who benefited, and what changed.
Experience
Employment, self-employment and voluntary work all count.
Education & training
Include relevant qualifications, courses and professional learning.
Certifications & memberships
Recognised certificates, awards and professional registrations.
Skills
Choose skills you can confidently discuss at interview.
Separate skills with commas. Aim for a focused list, not a wall of buzzwords.
Grouped skills
Optional specialist skills, organised by area.
Projects & achievements
Optional. Useful for portfolio work, volunteering and career changers.
Additional information
Optional. Languages, memberships or other relevant sections.
Imported details to review
Some older CV fields are safely stored in your backup but do not appear in the PDF until you decide what to include. Review each field below. Include a relevant, editable copy or deliberately leave out information you do not want on your CV.
Original imported information is retained in JSON backups. Adding it here does not remove or overwrite the source.
Save a PDF for the application and export a private backup so your editable versions are safe if browser storage is cleared.
THE REALITY CHECK / 03
Does your CV make the case?
We look for clarity, evidence and relevance. This isn't an ATS score and doesn't predict hiring decisions.
Reality Check
Specific editorial checks for clarity, evidence and completeness. No invented hiring or ATS score.
ATS Match
Shows where terminology appears in the printable CV. It cannot tell you how a particular employer's tracking system will rank your application.
APPLICATION STUDIO / 04
Make your evidence count.
Connect real experience to an actual vacancy. Your evidence stays on this device. Nothing is sent to a recruiter or AI service.
Step 1 of 4: Vacancy
Add your vacancy or requirements to begin.
Truth and evidence first. Use only experience you can explain. Matching words and linked examples are drafting aids, not proof of suitability.
Understand the vacancy
Paste the person specification and review every criterion. Extraction is a starting point that you control.
Achievement Bank
Keep reusable, truthful examples from work, volunteering, study or projects. You can use them across different CV versions.
Vacancy-to-Evidence Map
Link genuine examples to each requirement. "Missing" means no evidence is linked, not that you're unsuitable.
Supporting statement and application pack
Start from your linked evidence. Every section remains editable, and gaps stay visible. Review facts and language yourself before submitting.
