Janine Lianta Palm

Janine Palm is a community engagement and equity consultant with 15+ years of experience working alongside Black and global majority communities across youth, housing, health, and social inclusion. As Founder and Managing Director of JP Equity Consultancy, she supports charities, CICs, and voluntary organisations to embed lived experience into programme design, strengthen governance and strategy, and build authentic relationships with the communities they serve. Her career spans senior roles at Tower Hamlets Council, UCL, USAID, and Hestia, as well as founding Serieux Education — an international organisation that has supported 400+ young people in Saint Lucia. Most recently, she managed a £210,000 community programme portfolio, led place-based outreach across four East London boroughs increasing participation by 40%, and co-designed a national youth programme adopted as USAID's regional delivery model for the Caribbean. A trained safeguarding officer and published researcher currently completing a Doctorate in Professional Practice, Janine brings both professional expertise and personal lived experience to every engagement — ensuring community voices remain at the heart of systemic change.
