Facilitator and participation specialist supporting inclusive engagement, lived experience and social impact work
About
I am a Bristol-based facilitator, participation specialist and social impact practitioner with over a decade of experience working across community engagement, youth voice, safeguarding, lived experience, social justice and programme delivery.
My work has focused on creating inclusive and thoughtful spaces where people can share ideas, reflect on complex issues, build confidence and influence change. I have delivered workshops, consultations, mentoring sessions, group discussions and public speaking with young people, community groups, charities, schools, NHS staff, educators, local authorities, law enforcement, funders and third-sector professionals.
I began my career through youth activism, leading a national campaign against FGM that gathered over 250,000 signatures and contributed to changes in education, safeguarding and national policy. Since then, I have worked in project and programme roles across organisations including Integrate UK, SafeLives, Babbasa, Girls Friendly Society and NSPCC.
At Integrate UK, I delivered 500+ workshops to over 15,000 young people and professionals on sensitive topics including FGM, honour-based abuse, gender-based violence, racism, coercive control, toxic masculinity and youth leadership. I also managed youth-led campaigns and educational resources on social justice issues, working closely with schools, funders, local authorities and community partners.
More recently, I have led mentoring and participation work with young people from underrepresented backgrounds, supported lived experience engagement within domestic abuse policy and practice, and managed sector-facing projects through the Girls’ Rights Collective.
I am particularly interested in supporting mission-led organisations to engage communities meaningfully, create safer spaces for participation, strengthen lived experience and community voice, and turn insight into practical action.
