Amy Hutson

I became an award-winning journalist working for newspapers and magazines, before moving into charity communications. Just over 10 years ago I qualified as a counsellor and clinical supervisor, which I did while working alongside managing communications teams. Over the past few years I worked for a women's counselling charity supervising counsellors, before becoming their CEO which I left in 2026. As a small charity, I oversaw the charity's finances, strategy, clinical work, communications, governance, people and fundraising. Some highlights while working there included delivering a rebrand, growing and diversifying their income stream and launching and delivering new services. Now I support not-for-profits with the challenges I have first hand experience of tackling.
